This is a little late, but it is the first minute that I have had to blog. So, better late than never! My Grandpa Stone passed away on Father's Day. Brad and I were able to attend the viewing and the funeral thanks to my Grandma Bushman and my Aunt Lisa for babysitting Aleah! It was all beautiful! My Grandpa was an amazing man and an incredible example in so many ways! He had very impressive musical talent. He played the trumpet, piano, organ, and he sang. He played in a band and that is how my grandparents got to know each other. My Grandpa is the second from the left and my Grandma is the one standing by the microphone.

I have so so so many wonderful memories with my Grandpa! They lived near the place that I went to gymnastics when I was little. So some days I would just walk up to their house. My Grandpa would always make me laugh by asking me if I had been down swinging on the bars or something like that. I would laugh and say, "Gymnastics Grandpa, I've been doing gymnastics!" He did gymnastics and was a big fan of mine. He was very encouraging!
He was my piano teacher until we moved to Iowa. I loved having my Grandpa as my piano teacher! He was the best! He would play the song that I was learning for me at first and I would just listen and imagine myself playing it like that one day. He was always positive and helped me to love playing the piano. I am sad because I have not played the piano in over seven years and don't remember ANYTHING! I love this picture of my Grandpa and I at the piano.

This is a picture of him when he went on a cruise with my Grandma. They were always doing fun things and going fun places!

This is a picture of him in his band director uniform. He was always involved with band.
I will have to find the video that I have of me when I was really little dancing while my Grandpa played the organ, it is so cute. I loved listening to him play the organ. Sometimes I would just sit by him in the big room and listen to him play. One of my favorite things about the summer time was the concert-in-the-park. On Sunday evenings in Pleasant Grove there would be a concert-in-the-park and my Grandpa would do it every year. I really thought that he was the BEST!
This is a picture of my dad with my grandparents. They lived out in Hawaii while my Grandpa taught at what is now BYU Hawaii. My Grandpa was a school teacher for many years! I thought that he was the smartest guy in the world. If I ever had to do a report I would call him because he knew about everything! I think that I gained my love of teaching from my Grandpa. He was a great teacher and all his students loved him.

My grandparents have been a great example to me of love, joy, and kindness in marriage. They are so cute! They always enjoyed life together. I hope that growing old with Brad is as much fun as my grandparents made it look!

I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have that families can be together forever! I am thankful for all the memories I have of my Grandpa! I sure love him! I know that he loves me and thinks that I am, "The prettiest girl in town!". I miss him already and I can't wait to see him again. I want to live worthy of the blessings of eternity so that I can be with him and all of my family forever!
