Friday morning Brad went out on the slopes with his Dad and then Brad's Mom and I went out after lunch. The weather was perfect! The kids had a lot of fun playing in the snow. There was a lot of snow! If you look in the pictures you can see that the snow goes up to the roof in some places. Most of the windows on the main floor are covered with snow.
Both Aleah and Cade spent a lot of time in the kitchen. They were very busy making yummy food for us to eat!
My parents joined us Friday night. Saturday morning my Mom and Brad's Mom watched the kids so that Brad and I could go snowboarding together. Brad's Dad and my Dad came with us. The weather was even better on Saturday. It was so nice to spend the day with Brad!
I haven't gone snowboarding in over two years. I was really nervous and afraid that I wouldn't remember how to do it. But after my first run it all came back to me. Amazing how that happens! Brad's Mom came out with us after lunch for a couple of hours. It was her birthday weekend. She turned 70. Brad's parents are 70 and still skiing like pros!
We came home on Sunday during nap time. Cade didn't make it down the mountain. Poor little guy was so tired. They didn't sleep very well at the cabin and as a result we didn't sleep well either. They woke up at 6:30 every morning. I don't know why! The drive home was a little harder, but they both did really well. I think I want to do it again! Anyone want to go with us?
