Deck to the rescue!

I have been wanting to play with Aleah outside, but as most of you know our yard is not very toddler friendly! There is a cliff on one side and a street on the other. So we decided to make our deck into an outdoor play area. Yay, it is wonderful! I love that Aleah can play outside and I don't have to worry about her falling off the cliff.

Aleah loves it. We got her a sand and water table. It is now just a water table! She was more interested in playing in the water and the sand didn't stay on the sand side, I know, imagine that! So we decided that it can be a water table this year and next year we will add the sand. Although I'm sure next year Cade will make a bigger mess than Aleah could ever dream of making.

If you would like to see it in person we are accepting BBQ offers!

Family Reunion

We got to go down to St. George for Brad's family reunion. Brad's mom has been planning this reunion for years and she did an excellent job. It was amazing! She had fun activities for everyone and for the kids every day. Wonderful dinners. Videos of all the family and old home videos. It was a lot of fun to see Brad's mom when she was a young girl!

Aleah got sick the day that we went down there so we didn't get to participate in all the fun activities. Brad got to participate in most of the activities which was good since it was his family reunion. Brad took Aleah to the water park and the swimming pool. She had a lot of fun playing in the water!

Most of my time was spent at Brad's parents' house relaxing while the kids took naps. Aleah slept a lot! But I can't complain because I got to read Eclipse. I really enjoyed it and even though I think the Twilight movies are cheesy, I am excited to see the movie. Bring on girls night! Anyone want to go?

On the move!

Cade is now on the move. He can roll from his tummy to his back and from his back to his tummy. He is better at rolling from his back to his tummy which is opposite of how Aleah was. Aleah loved playing on her back and Cade loves playing on his tummy. He has also started scooting. WhAt? I know, I can't believe it either! Today I went out of the room for a minute and when I came back in he was on the other side of the room. Later in the day I looked over and he rolled onto his tummy and then scooted to get a toy. It took him a minute but he got it! It's a pretty cute scoot, it kind of looks like a caterpillar.

I finally got a video of Cade rolling from his back to his tummy. I have been trying to get it on video for days! I haven't been able to get a video of him rolling onto his back yet. You can also see a little bit of his scoot. He doesn't scoot much in this video, but you can get an idea of just how cute his scoot is!
