Father's Day is such a special day because we have such a special Daddy! Brad is amazing, and fun, and funny! I made a video for Brad, my Dad, my brother Nate, and my brother-in-law Tyler and in that video I asked the kids what they liked about their Dad. Aleah said, "I like it when he hugs me good-bye because he chases me!" Cade said, "I like Daddy to take pictures of me jumping on the trampoline!"
Aleah and Cade each made a special mug for their Dad. Brad used Aleah's for breakfast and Cade's for dinner. Aleah wrote, "I heart Daddy From Aleah" and drew some flowers and a car.
Cade wrote his name and drew a really cool bicycle.
They decorated a tie for Brad to wear to church. He got a lot of compliments!
Aleah filled out these papers for Brad. The first was at our family Father's Day party the night before and the second was in her primary class. I love her cute answers!
The day before Father's Day we had a pool party for my cousins who just graduated from high school. It was fun to see them and visit with everyone who came to the party! After playing in the pool, ALL day, the kids enjoyed an outside movie!
It was really windy a few nights ago and so we grabbed our kites and headed to the park by our house. Aleah and Cade had fun helping Brad fly his stunt kite!
Last week we found out that you don't need grass to have fun playing in the sprinkler!
Our neighbors got their fence. As we were getting home from Costco Cade noticed that the fence was getting put together and said, "I just want to watch the guys make the fence!" He sat down on the driveway and watched. I went inside to make dinner. After a while he came running in and excitedly said, "Ok, it is all done except for this much (holding up his hands to show how much). You have to come see!" Aleah and I ran out to see the finished fence with Cade.
While Cade was watching the fence, Aleah was painting. She is getting so good!
Here are some pictures from my little artists. Aleah loves drawing people and writing names. She always includes a belly button!
I love this picture that Cade did of his Dad and a grasshopper!
Last week Brad and I decided to have a belated (by a month and a half!) anniversary vacation. We started off with a stay-cation. On Tuesday we took the kids to Trafalga to ride the bumper boats and the go carts.
Of course, we had to ride the Frog Hopper a dozen times!
Then we went to Pepper Pals (Chili's) for dinner. Aleah and Cade were so excited, they have been wanting to go there for a while.
Wednesday night my visiting teacher and her husband watched Aleah and Cade for us so that we could go to the temple.
Thursday night our neighbor Kamryn (who Aleah and Cade love!) came over to babysit so that we could go on date. We went bowling! It was so much fun. I won the first game and Brad won the second game.
Friday Aleah and Cade got to have a sleepover at Uncle Todd's and Aunt Rachel's house! They were so excited and had so much fun. They absolutely LOVED it and have already been asking if they can do it again! Brad and I had a couple of days of relaxation, fun at the Olympic Park in Park City, and of course, we fit in some time for some shopping at the outlets in Park City. We really enjoyed our time together and we are so thankful for Todd and Rachel who made it possible for us!
