Right before we left for our spring break vacation we got our fence! It was fun to watch it get installed. We were thankful that we didn't have to dig all the holes. Way too many rocks!
It really changed the feel of our backyard. We love it!
And then it snowed!
We went to Brian Head for some spring skiing with my brother and his family and my sister and her family. The kids were so cute in their snow gear, ready to hit the slopes!
The first day we just stayed on the slopes by the magic carpet. Aleah and Cade quickly remembered how to ski and were turning, and stopping pros in no time.
Aleah and Cade stopped for a minute to throw snowballs with their cousin Manny.
While I was making dinner Brad and the kids did some sledding. Aleah found a nice place to rest!
One of our favorite things to do is to sit on the deck, have smores, and tell stories.
The next day we bought Brad and Aleah lift tickets. Cade is still free. They were so ready and excited to go on the lift! I would ski with one kid by the magic carpet while Brad took the other one on the lift. They did so good and didn't want to stop when it was time for the lifts to close.
We had such a fun time at the cabin with our family!
When we got home Brad went on a work trip to Canada. His first flight from Salt Lake was delayed which made him miss his connecting flight. So he had to stay the night in Seattle. His flight into Canada was on a little plane.
He felt like a king on the way home. He got upgraded to first class and they gave hime breakfast! It was a much better flight than on the way there.
Aleah got to go on a field trip with her kindergarten class. They went to Hee Haw Farms. Going into it she was mostly excited about the bus ride.
The bus ride did not disappoint, but she also loved the big slide. She told us all about how she had to go up a lot of stairs to get to the top, but it wasn't scary it was fun! I love how she explains fun things she does to Cade and tells him how much he is going to love it next year when he is in kindergarten.
Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey came to stay with us for a few days. We loved having them with us! Aleah and Cade loved flying their kites on a windy day. Grandpa Godfrey taught them a fun game where they had to try to crash their kites in the sky. They loved it!
The company that Brad works for gave Brad the Distinguished Performance Award. This is a big deal and it doesn't surprise me at all. Brad is amazing! I'm so thankful for his job and that he is a hard worker. What a blessing it is in our lives!
Brad put the slide on our swing set. The kids enjoyed sliding, sliding, and sliding some more!
Aleah had her last meet for the season. Her goal at this meet was to get all blue ribbons. To get a blue ribbon she has to score 9.0 or higher. She had gotten blue ribbons on all of her events before, but not at the same meet. She was determined and worked very hard. She is such a cute little gymnast!
I wish that we were recording her when she opened her envelope containing her ribbons at the end of her meet. It was pure joy! Such excitement! She kept saying, "I'm so proud of myself!" We are proud of her as well. All blue ribbons. What an amazing accomplishment!
Aleah writes the cutest and sweetest notes to us! I had to take a picture of this cute one she wrote to Cade. They are all so sweet that I want to save all of them forever!
