"That's why, I three years old!"

Cade turned 3!  Since his birthday whenever he does something all by himself for the first time he says, "That's why, I three years old now.  When I two years old I can't do it, but I three years old, so I can!"

When he is trying to explain something he says, "Cause... I don't know."

He likes to tell me, "When I get bigger I turn into a Daddy, Aleah turn into a Mommy, Mommy turn into a Grandma, and Daddy turn into a Grandpa.  That what when I get bigger."

Cade is such a light in our family.  He loves to make us laugh.  He loves to play with his sister.  He is so smart and athletic and he shares his love with everyone!

Cade's birthday week was filled with fun!  We started off with a family party with my family.  Cade wanted a Mater and Lightening McQueen party.  We made party hats,

and raced Lightening McQueen and Mater cars.

When it was time to open gifts Cade went straight to the gift that was from Aleah.  He was so excited to see what his sister got for him.

After he got the gift open he gave Aleah a big hug.  It was super cute!

During the week Cade wanted to play out in the snow.

Then the following day it snowed pretty much the entire day.  They were in heaven with all the snow!

Me, on the other hand, I was tired of shoveling and sore.  Brad was out of town, but coming home late that night in the car and so I wanted him to be able to get in the garage.  I took this picture after I started shoveling the driveway for the second time.  My arms were so sore!

Cade choose pancakes for his birthday dinner.  Then he wanted to go to Thanksgiving Point for an ice cream cone.

For his birthday family date we went to Kangaroo Zoo.  They loved the really big slides and did them over and over and over!

This year Cade could do every slide all by himself.  He loved being able to run around and climb and slide with Aleah!

We finished off Cade's birthday week with a family party with Brad's family.  Cade loved playing with his cousins and FaceTiming with his Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey.  It was a fun evening with family!

Every day I thank my Father in Heaven for sending Cade to our family.  I can't believe that he is three, but I'm loving his independence.  He can do so much on his own now.  We sure love him!
