New hats.

Brad has been traveling a lot these last couple of weeks.  Way too much if you ask me!  He went to Chicago and then to Canada.  He had a good time.  He really enjoyed Canada.  He said that it was beautiful.  He got to see the Olympic flame burning bright in Vancouver.

He brought home some really cute hats for Aleah and Cade.  Aleah, of course, loves to wear her hat and Cade has been doing good with his as well.  If Cade's hat falls off Aleah says, "Oh no D hat!" and then she puts it back on for him.  Such a sweet sister!

Wow, that went fast!

I can't believe that Cade is nine months old!  I really feel like he is growing up way too fast.  But I love his cute personality.  He is so happy and always has a smile for me.  His laugh is really cute.  When he has been laughing and he wants to keep laughing, he does a forced laugh and it is hilarious.  Sometimes I think he does it to try to get Aleah to laugh, it's way cute!

I love that he will still cuddle with me!  When I get him up from his naps he always gives me a hug.  He is such a happy cuddly little boy.

Here are a few of the things that he can do now.  He is still doing the wounded soldier crawl.  He does crawl normal here and there but always drops down to his stomach after a couple crawls.  He points and waves.  But mostly he just wants to pull himself to stand everywhere!  He even lets go and stands on his own for a few seconds.  This boy is all over the place and climbing on everything!

When Brad was in Chicago last week he called one night during yogurt time.  We did FaceTime so that Brad could see the kids and they could see him.  When I pointed the phone at Cade he got a big smile on his face, pointed at Brad and then started waving.  It was only the third time that he had waved and he meant it.  It was so cute and almost made me cry!

I sure love this little boy, even if he is just going to grow up on me.  I am very thankful he is part of our family!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween this year Brad and I were Zoo keepers.  Aleah was a giraffe and Cade was a monkey.  Brad and I made our Zoo keeper shirts.  The front says Zoo, Naturally WILD.  We didn't get to do the back because we ran out of ink, of course!  The back was going to have a picture of some animals and say, It's a Zoo around here.  I thought it was a pretty cute idea.

The week before Halloween we had a party with my family.  It was a lot of fun  we had dinner and carved our pumpkins.  Aleah and her cousins colored their pumpkins.  Aleah really likes to draw.

This is serious business!

Then we played some games.  The kids got to do some fishing.  Aleah kept trying to peek over to see what was going on.

The doughnut eating contest was hilarious!  Aleah was cheating and using her hands.  This was her first doughnut and she pretty much downed it.  I was laughing so hard.  Then I lost when it was my turn because I was laughing.  It is hard to eat a doughnut when you are laughing!  My sister-in-law totally beat everyone, she was good!

It is hard to get a good picture of my kids because they are always so busy!  But here are a couple so you can see how cute they looked.  Aleah loved her giraffe costume.  You know how much she loves to wear hats.  Well, if the hat started falling off she would say, "Oh no! Hat, hat!"

Here are Brad and Aleah's finished pumpkins.  I think that Brad's pumpkin is so good.  He really did a great job!

Halloween Eve we took the kids trick-or-treating to a few houses in our neighborhood since it was raining.  When we got to the first house Aleah had a piece of candy in her hand from our house.  She knocked on the door and when her friend handed her a piece of candy she handed her friend the candy that was in her other hand.  It was really cute!  They did a swap.  All night she kept saying, "trick-or-treat" and "Happy Halloweeeeen".  It was so much fun just to watch her.  I know that I have said this before, but I'm going to say it again, having kids just makes the holidays so much more fun!  Brad and I use to talk about how much fun it would be to have kids and experience the holidays with them.  We were right.  It is so much fun and I am so thankful for my kids.  They are super cute!
