So much fun!

We are having a lot of fun this Christmas vacation! For Christmas we got together with Brad's family. It's always fun to get together with them! We ate lots of good food, played games, relaxed, visited, and a lot of people (including Brad) got to hit the slopes. It was so beautiful up there. I love trees covered in snow!

For Christmas Eve all the kids acted out the nativity. Aleah just wanted to hug baby Jesus.

As always, Aleah had so much fun with her cousins! Aleah is a little blurry in this picture, but I love it because it shows her rolling her tongue and being silly.

This is what Santa left for Aleah. She loves it! She thinks that it is so funny when the balls start flying all over the place.

Christmas morning was great. Here we are in our new pj's.

Here's a couple of cute pictures of Aleah playing with her cousins.

The other day we went out to play in the snow. Don't you think that her little teeth are so cute?

She loved riding around in her sleigh!

Merry Christmas!

Every year I decide that this is going to be the year the I send out a Christmas card. Well, I'm getting closer! This has been a very fun year for us! We have been on some really fun vacations. We have enjoyed spending time with our sweet Aleah and watching her grow! We are so thankful for the birth of our Savior! We are also thankful for our family and friends.

HO HO HO!

Every year since I was a baby my Grandma Stone has had a Christmas party and Santa always comes. It is the same Santa every time so he is pretty much family to me. He is really funny and loving. He knows everything about us and it is always fun to see him each year. When I was little I was always amazed at how he knew everything about me!

When he first gets to the party he comes running in shaking his bells and saying Ho Ho Ho, very loudly. So the week leading up to this party I thought that it would be a good thing to prepare Aleah for the loudness of his entry. Throughout the day I would just start yelling Ho Ho Ho! At first it startled her a little, but toward the end of the week she would join in with her own Ho Ho Ho. So cute! She did really good at the party. She didn't like the feel of his beard, but other than that she was fine. I guess my preparation payed off.

This is most of the family. There was only a few people missing that night. What a fun time. My grandma is so wonderful! I'm thankful that we can get together as a family!

ONE!

It's amazing how that happens! I can't believe that it has been one year since our sweet baby was born! What a blessing and a pure joy she has been in our lives! It might just be my crazy hormones, but it makes me cry every time I think about the fact that I am actually a mom and now I have a one year old. My life has changed so much in the last year and I love it! She is such a sweet girl. I love how she can make me laugh with the silly things she does. I love how she dances to the music (I've been trying to get it on video). I love watching her figure things out. I love her cute cute smile. Every day I find more things that I love about her. I love being a mom and just enjoying my sweet girl!

For her birthday we spent the evening with family. It was a very fun party. Aleah loved the singing!

She is a very clean eater and so it was was fun to watch her delicately pick off some frosting and eat it.

She did so good with her presents. Brad would get it started and then she would gently tear off the paper. She is such a girl!

She had fun. She would give the dolls and stuffed animals a kiss. It was so sweet!
She is now crawling all over the place and about to start walking I'm sure. She had her one year check up and is doing great! We bought her a new car seat, but it looks like we will not be switching her until about the time her little brother gets here. She is still too little, which is good for my hopes that she will enjoy gymnastics like I did! She has four teeth and two more one the way. She is just growing up so fast! So happy birthday to Aleah!

I didn't think it would happen!

I really didn't think that Aleah would crawl. She has shown NO interest in it. She loves walking and so I thought that she would just go straight to walking. Well, everyone told me that it would happen and Aleah proved me wrong! Yay, I'm so happy for her!

We are thankful for family!

The past two weeks have been busy, but tons of fun! First we went down to St. George to celebrate Brad's Dad's birthday! It was a surprise party and he was totally surprised. We had a wonderful dinner. We had some funny skits. Aleah stole the show during our skit, it was so funny! We also got to watch some old videos. It was a great party and so much fun to be around family! I love watching Aleah play with her cousins! We forgot our camera so we didn't get any pictures.

Aleah has now decided that she likes to walk (not by herself yet). Before if I stood her up she would not move her feet. Now it seems like all she wants to do is walk around. She is getting so fast that it's hard to keep up with her sometimes. It is so cute to watch her. She looks so grown-up. So if you have two spare fingers and a rested back, come on over! Between her wanting to walk and my ever expanding belly, I think my back is about broken!

For Thanksgiving we had a big sleepover party at my parents house. It was great! We did a lot of baking and a lot of eating. Yumm! We played some games and of course guitar hero and the new super mario, which is a lot of fun. While we were baking Aleah had a great time playing with the dishes and the cupboard.

She also had fun playing with her cousin in the indoor sandbox that we made. At first she kept saying, "AH OH!", but then she learned that it was ok to be messy. She is so cute, anytime anyone drops something on the floor she says, "AH OH!"

I am so thankful for the wonderful family that I am a part of! I really had a great Thanksgiving!

We got our tree up, decorated, and the house decorated in record time this year! I love having our house decorated for Christmas, it creates such a warm happy feeling. I'm thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and I'm excited to celebrate this Christmas season!

Halloween

It's crazy how November gets here and suddenly life is so busy and it's not going to end until January! But I love it! The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are so much fun. I love all the parties that I get to go to. This year will be extra fun because we also have a birthday to celebrate. Aleah will be turning one in one month! Now that's CrAzY!

Halloween was fun. We got together with my family during the day and carved pumpkins and had a fun party. Then that evening we passed out candy, put our cute little skeleton to bed and watched a movie. Sometimes it's just nice to relax at home!

Skeletons

We are ready and excited for Halloween! We love Halloween! This year we are going to be skeletons. I will post a family picture later. But really, if you are like me then these pictures of Aleah are the only ones that matter! This could be a super long picture post, but I tried to narrow it down a little. I have too many favorites! Oh, I think I'll post more when I post our family picture! Thanks Brittney, I had such a fun day today!

P.S. I know it looks like she is a skeleton ballerina, but I couldn't resist. What little girl doesn't need a tutu?

Conference Weekend and Gramps

For conference weekend we had the opportunity to go down to St George. We got to visit Brad's family and to have a little vacation in some warm weather! It was very nice. Aleah had fun splashing in the pool. She really wanted to get in, but I didn't even think about bringing swim suits. It has been so cool around here that I think I just figured that it wouldn't be that much warmer in St. George. I guess I'm not a real mom yet. Don't real mom's remember everything, even the kitchen sink?

Aleah enjoyed playing with her cousins! I think that she has the best cousins ever. They are all so sweet to her and she loves it! Check out her toes in this first picture. How does she do that? I can not do it! She inherited her toe tricks from her dad!

We got to spend some much needed time with Brad's grandpa, Willard Horace Godfrey, Gramps. We had some very special moments with him this weekend! We are so thankful that we were able to visit him one last time before he returned to our Heavenly Father! We love him so much! Gramps passed away this morning at the age of 97. He is now with his wife who left this life 31 years ago. I'm sure that he is so happy to be with her again! She passed away one month after Brad was born and one day after I was born. This is a picture of Gramps and his wife Grand Honey.

This is Brad with Gramps the day that Brad was blessed. Brad received his name and blessing from Gramps. Brad is named after Gramps, Willard Brad Godfrey. What an honor it is to be named after such a wonderful man! Our little boy will also receive that honor.

Another picture of Brad with Gramps.

This is a picture of Brad and his brother Todd with Gramps.

Aleah was two months old when she met Gramps. She was asleep, hence the car seat.

This is Gramps, Brad's dad, Brad, and Aleah.

We have learned so much from Gramps! He was so loving to everyone. The first time I met Gramps was on my wedding day in the temple. He came up to me and wrapped his arms around me and said, "Welcome to the family. I love you. I'm Brad's grandpa, you can call me Gramps." From that moment on I have always felt his love for me in his words and his actions! When Brad would call and ask him if he could visit him, he would say, "Yes, are you bringing Shay?" Brad would say yes and then he would say, "Oh good!" He was such a kind loving man. I never saw him angry and I never heard him say anything mean to anyone or about anyone!

Gramps was a good example of following the prophet. I don't think that he was ever in debt! He was very smart with his money, a trait that has blessed his sons and all of his grandchildren. We hope to follow his example!

We love you Gramps and we look forward to being with you again!

9 Months

My baby is 9 months old. I really can't believe it! Anyway, here is my 9 month old. She loves bath time and water.

She has found that her tent can double as a weight machine.

She will not leave her headbands on. I have to distract her, but as soon as she remembers that it is on then she takes it off.

She is very interested in animals. She loves dogs. She has started saying, ruff, whenever she hears a dog bark. It really is the cutest little ruff I have ever heard!

She enjoyed our boating trips this summer. I'm so sad the summer is coming to an end. We need more boating!

She loves standing. She is still not crawling. She needs help getting to the standing position, but once there she has a good time.

She thinks that her reflection in the glass is really fun!
I started thinking about the fact that I should start planning her first birthday party! Wow, it is coming up fast! She is so much fun and I am glad that she is growing up. I'm having a lot of fun getting to know her and I love laughing with her! She is so silly!

Oh Boy!

That's right everyone. Brad will now have someone to go to Fathers & Sons camp-out with him. We are very excited to be having a healthy little BOY!

Yes, we are still here!

So it has been awhile since I have posted! Oops! I thought that I would let you know what we have been up to these last few weeks. We celebrated Brad's birthday and did some boating. We have been trying to spend as much time outside as possible. I'm excited for fall and the cooler weather, but I am not ready for winter! For Brad's birthday I got him tickets to the USA vs El Salvador Soccer Game. We had so much fun. We left Aleah with my parents for the evening, which is something we haven't done since May so it was about time! It was refreshing to go out on a date with my husband, just the two of us, and sit in a noisy stadium and cheer and scream and jump up and down! But, I did miss Aleah. We had great seats and both of the USA goals happened in the goal that was right in front of us. It was awesome! The people behind us were cheering for El Salvador, I don't think they look very happy.

What has Aleah been up to? A lot! Here's a few pictures and a video to show you some of the things that she is doing now. It is so amazing to watch her learn. It's like one day she can't do something and then the next day she can. I think that she is getting close to crawling. At least she is getting a little more adventurous.

She loves to swing! She giggles the whole time.

We went to the library to checkout some books. We had a fun time there. She loves reading!

She had a fun time watching everyone wakeboard when we went boating. I don't know why, but she looks so grown up in this picture.

She is getting really good at jumping. I love to see how high she can jump!

She is still talking all the time. She said mama before she said dada. All she would say is mama. If we asked her to say dada, she would laugh. Now she won't say mama. She says dada all the time and yaya and many other things, but not mama. Oh well, I'm sure she will say it again some day.
