The Sunday before Halloween we carved our pumpkins. We only had time to carve Aleah's and Cade's. So we carved mine and Brad's on Monday night for FHE. The kids told Brad how they wanted their lid. Aleah was ready with her spoon!

Once the lid was off Cade said, "Yuck! It's so stinky!"
We let them draw their face on their pumpkin. Then this year we handed them the knives and let them carve away! They loved it!
The kids said that Cade's pumpkin is saying, Boo!
Monday night Aleah helped me and Cade helped Brad. We had fun working together!
Cade had his gymnastics class the day before Halloween and his teacher, Chris, asked him to wear his costume to class. When I told him that he got to wear his costume to class he was super excited! He got to decorate a brown paper bag so that it could be his treat bag. When he did good she would put a treat in his bag. By the end of class he had A LOT of treats in his bag!
One of his friends was also Buzz. They were twins and they stuck together the whole day. They were even hugging each other during warm ups. Cute boys!
Back in August Aleah started a music class called, Let's Play Music. I finally remembered to take some pictures of her with her teacher, Mrs. Kara, and her music class bag. She LOVES this class! It is really amazing to see how much she is learning and it is all so much fun.
Halloween morning we finally got to do our spider craft that we have been wanting to do. We had so much fun making these cute spiders and hanging them around our home. I love doing crafts with my kids.
Aleah is the cutest good witch ever. Cade is the most handsome Buzz Lightyear ever.
We headed out trick or treating a little early so that we could drive down to Orem to see Uncle Todd. We had fun seeing Bryton and Nathan as blue men and we also got to FaceTime with Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey while we were there.
Since Halloween was on a Thursday this year my parents were home. So we got to go to there house as well. Then we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. We love our neighbors! As we were trick or treating Aleah said to me, "It is so much fun getting treats from our neighbors!" It really was a lot of fun.
Cade and Brad headed back to our house to hand out candy. Aleah wanted to go to a few more houses, she was having so much fun. We spent the rest of the evening handing out candy. Aleah and Cade would take turns. One would open the door and the other would hold the bowl of candy. When it was bed time they didn't want to go to bed, they wanted to keep handing out candy. They said, "But why do you get to keep giving people candy?"
Aleah and Cade love coloring and they are getting really good. Here is a sample of their recent work.
This is what watching BYU football looks like at our home.
Aleah and Cade are big BYU football fans. They love watching the games with us. Aleah asks things like, "Why do we want the guys wearing white to have the ball?" and "Why do we want the guys wearing white to make a touchdown?" Cade will ask, "Did the BYU cougars get a touchdown?" If we say yes, then he will cheer and get super excited. It's fun that they are able to enjoy watching the football games with us now. If only Brad and I could see the game, down in front!
This is Aleah's latest bristle blocks creation. It is a mouse house. There are stairs to a diving board so that the mouse can dive into the swimming pool. She even left holes in the roof so that the mouse can have air when it's inside the house.
For our preschool field trip we got to go to Hee Haw Farms. We had a fun day. The kids loved the big slides and the corn maze!
I got two of my Christmas presents last week. Brad found a rectangle trampoline on KSL. I am so totally excited to have a trampoline! And my amazing brother-in-law Tyler gave us two new lights in our cold storage. It is so nice to be able to see in our cold storage room now!
The Saturday before Halloween Brad and I got to go to a Halloween party with some of our new friends. It was a really fun night! I was a pop star and Brad was paparazzi. I love spending time with Brad and I'm so thankful that he is still my best friend.
Aleah and Cade were really good for their babysitter while we were at our party. They were having a hard time going to bed for their babysitters. So I came up with an idea that really helped them. They recorded a video of Brad and I on their cameras before we left. We told them good night and sang them a song. Once they were in bed they could watch their video a few times and then go to sleep. It worked great. They loved it and went to bed perfectly for their babysitter. The next day we told them that since they were so good for their babysitter they earned a family date. They choose Kangaroo Zoo.
They ran around, jumped, played and went down all the slides many times until they were both so tired. When we got home they both quickly got ready for bed and were pretty much asleep before we closed their doors. It was a fun night.
Preschool was at our house this week. We had fun learning about leaves, the number 5, and the letter E. E is for eruption. They loved the volcano video I showed them and asked to watch it again at the end. We made a volcano erupt with some banking soda and vinegar which was, "So cool!"
Tuesday morning Cade said, "Mom, I need to do a craft! Can we make bees?" He has been wanting to make bees for a while. So we got out the stuff and made some bees. I think that they turned out really cute. Aleah even put a stinger on hers.
We went to the library over the weekend and checked out a bunch of books. I love that Aleah and Cade will just sit down and look through the books a few times a day.
At the end of the day I may be tired and worn out, but I am also so thankful for the wonderful family that I have been blessed with. I always say, "I love this family!"
