Time to Party!

We have a lot to party about.  Things are starting to fall in to place with our new home and renting our current home.  I know that it is through the power of fasting and prayer that we have received these blessings.  Our appraisal came back higher than what we will be paying!  And we were able to get renters for our current home!  Our renters are a cute older couple who moved here from California, went to BYU together and graduated last year, and we just love them.  I can tell that they are awesome grandparents, Aleah and Cade took to them right away.  We are so thankful to have that stress gone.  Now we can focus on packing and moving, yay!

Our new home was supposed to be finished today.  At least, the final inspection happened today.  Did anyone think that we would pass this inspection?  Not me!  It took us 3 inspections to pass our 4 way and so it was not a surprise when we were told that we did not pass our final inspection.  There are 12 things that need to be fixed!  So we have our walk through tomorrow and then hopefully everything can get fixed by Wednesday for our next final inspection.  Please, please, we really want to move in on Saturday!

Our light fixtures are in.
They even gave us a chandelier in our master bedroom!  It is so gorgeous and makes me feel so special!

Our appliances are in.  We got them from Mel Hanks again.  They look great!

The carpet is in.  Aleah and Cade had fun "trying out" the carpet.  They felt it with their hands and rubbed their feet on it and then danced on it.  They said that it was good.

The tile surround on our tub is done.

Aleah found 9 cardboard circles.  She was so excited every time she found one.

The stairs and patio are done and the exterior railings are on.

We are very excited for our walk through tomorrow.  Packing is going well.  We are hopeful to be all packed by Friday night and then move Saturday morning!

It is almost Aleah's 4th birthday!  So we had her parties over the weekend.  She wanted a friend gymnastics party.  Which, since I'm a coach, we got the hook up!  We had the whole gym to ourselves!

Aleah, Cade, and their cute friend Truman, started off with some coloring while we waited for everyone to arrive.

She wanted chocolate cupcakes for her friend party.

I set up a gymnastics circuit for them, they played some games, got their medal, and opened presents.  Aleah and Cade are so inseparable!  Cade sat right by her side and even gave hugs to their friends as she did to say thank you for the gifts.  They are so cute!

At the end we had to save some time for their favorite thing, running and jumping into the pit!

On Sunday we had her family Cinderella party!  We had dinner, colored some cute Cinderella pictures, played some games, had cake, and opened presents.  It was fun to spend time with family!

She had to wear her Cinderella dress.
She was so sweet to give everyone hugs for the cute gifts that they gave her.

We are so thankful for the blessings we received last week and look forward to the exciting, busy week ahead of us!

Packing and Packing!

We are doing really well packing.  I feel like we are right on schedule and we will be ready to move next week!  Even though I spent most of last week at my parents' office taking care of Aleah's head and neck and Cade got a terrible cough!  Can you believe it?  Our final walk through is one week from tomorrow.  I'm so excited that I just want to pack everything and move right now.

Saturday we got a lot done thanks to Brad's brother Todd who took Aleah and Cade for the morning.  They had so much fun!

While I pack, Aleah and Cade have been shredding all of our papers that have been piling up over the years.  They love it!  They shred until it fills up and then they tell me to empty it and then they shred until it stops because it is overheated.  While they wait for it to cool down they sweep up all the tiny papers that are on the floor.  They are the best helpers!  When I tucked Aleah in bed tonight said that her favorite part of her day was, "Helping pack!"

Our new house now has countertops, sinks, light switches, some lights, a ceiling fan, toilets, appliances, and garage doors.

Aleah and Cade loved showing their new house to their cousins.

Oh, and our shower is almost done too.

For FHE tonight we took the kids to a living nativity in Alpine.  There were a lot of people there!  We heard that there was a hayride, but we didn't park in the right spot to get a ride and it ended up being a ride in a horse trailer.  So the whole time we were there Aleah and Cade kept asking us why there wasn't a hayride.  They enjoyed looking at the animals, there were even camels, and then we headed home.  We didn't have time to wait in the super super long line to see Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus.  We will have to go earlier next year!  I love this Christmas season.
