Brad had a really fun time taking the young men hiking to silver lake for their weekly activity. He said that it was a beautiful hike.
While waiting for swimming lessons to start, Cade got to have a lesson from Grandpa.
Aleah got a lesson from Grandma.

Aleah figured out how to do a handstand in the water. She is so excited to show her cousin Katie that she can do it now. Katie is the one who showed her how to do it on our vacation last year. Aleah said, "Now I can do a handstand just like Katie!"
Brad's Mom's siblings have a family reunion every other summer. The last few have been at Timp Lodge up by Sundance. Since Aleah and Cade are older now we decided to camp out and stay up there the entire time. In the past we would go home to sleep and then return the next morning. Aleah and Cade were very excited for our camping trip!
There were a lot of fun activities for us to do. The first night we played minute to win it games.
They didn't explain the stacking cups game to the little kids. Aleah watched the girl next to her for a second and then started stacking. Cade went right to it. He did his first line and then started putting the cups right on top of each other.
I told Cade to make a tower so he did with his remaining cups. Cade finished first, but his tower was not as tall as the others. Aleah quickly took the lead.
Cade said, "I got second place!" Aleah's crashed right after she finished.
I loved how serious they were and really tried to win. It was great that Cade wasn't sad that he didn't win, but I think he was a little confused since he was done first. I was glad that Aleah wasn't upset when her tower crashed!
Brad, of course, was the winner of his group! He is just that way, very talented at pretty much everything.
Oh yeah, dance party before bed! I love dancing with Aleah and Cade and watching them dance.
We got to bed really late and woke up with the birds chirping in the trees around 5 am. Except for Cade. He slept until 8:30! It was a little cold the first night, but not too bad.
Brad planned and headed up the family hike. We hiked up to Stuart Falls. We did some geocaching along the way. It was a lot of fun. Bonus, we got to see the BYU football team at the falls. Aleah and Cade are such great hikers. Cade was in the front of the group all the way there and all the way back.
The theme of the reunion was candy land. After the hike we played candy land out on the big field. The kids loved it!
The best part of the day was the giant slip and slide!
It was a warmer night in the tent and we all slept really well. We got up, cleaned up, packed up, and headed home. It was nice to get home early in the day so that we could unpack, shower, and do some laundry. Then we were off to Brad's work party, an Owls baseball game. We went a little early so that the kids could play in the kids zone before the barbecue. They were not ready, for some reason, and so they didn't let us in. Luckily, we had a frisbee and so we played some frisbee golf while we waited.
After dinner the kids were off to the kids zone as quickly as possible!
While watching the game Cade said, "I like the kind of football that you kick with your feet!"
Aleah and Cade had to go back to the kids zone before we left.
Swimming lessons have begun. They love their teacher Spencer! He is awesome. He plays games with them and sings to them. They love every minute of it.
They jump on the bottom of the pool like it's a trampoline. Their favorite is when they jumped on the trampoline in the deep end.
It is completely amazing to see Cade put his ears in the water! He hates water in his ears.

We spent the day at my Grandma Bushman's on Friday. The kids played in the back yard and then we did chalk drawings. My Grandma and I wrote picture ideas on little papers. The kids picked a paper and then drew it. Their drawings were amazing. We have some good little artists!
Cade would pick a paper and I would tell him what it said. Then he would say, "Nope, too tricky!" or "Yes, I can do that!"
That evening we enjoyed the Lehi Miniature parade. On Sunday Aleah's primary lesson was about having fun as a family. Her teachers asked if she could draw a picture to share with her class about something she did with her family that was fun. She picked the parade. She loved telling her class all about her pictures. She had to draw four because she couldn't fit it all on one paper.
The last couple of weeks Aleah and Cade have been working hard coloring and cutting out pictures. They decided that they wanted to set up a table and sale their pictures. Their first customer was a cute young boy. He was so sweet to Aleah and Cade! He complimented them on their pictures and bought one from each of them. They were so happy! Our neighbors were on their way to Utah Lake. Aleah and Cade jumped up and down and waved their arms to get them to stop. They bought three pictures. Right before heading home for dinner Aleah's primary teachers (they were Cade's teachers last year) came by. They bought four pictures. They were so glad that their teachers came by!
One of our neighbors didn't get a chance to come out and get a picture. She sent me a message asking if they could come to her house so that she could by some pictures. She bought four pictures. We seriously have the best neighbors. I could see the sense of accomplishment in their eyes. I could see that they feel loved. I could see that they feel talented. I am so thankful to my neighbors who helped them to feel that way!
