Coming in to the summer schedule I was feeling a little overwhelmed. It was looking super busy. Aleah and Cade both moved to more advanced gymnastics classes. Both of their classes became two hours twice a week. Aleah's class is Mondays and Wednesdays. Cade's class was Wednesdays and Fridays. That meant that I would be at the gym three days a week. Two days before the summer schedule began Cade's teacher called and said that there was a change in boys team coaches and so she needed to coach another class. Which meant that she needed to move Cade's class to Mondays and Wednesdays. Wow, what an amazing blessing! On Mondays their classes only overlap by 30 minutes so we are there for 3 1/2 hours, but on Wednesdays we are only there for 2 hours and 15 minutes. It's so much better than it would have been!
I feel like it was a tender mercy from my Heavenly Father! I feel so loved. It was little change that made things so much easier for me. Also, Cade's class switched from 9 - 11 to 11 - 1. That little change made things easier as well. It is hard to get out the door and to gymnastics by 9 in the morning!
Cade in now in the boys team level 3 class. He is loving it. He is still with coach Chris. She is awesome and Cade loves her. He gets a snack break half way through his class, which he thinks is so cool!
Aleah is in the girl team red 2 B class. It is a competing level 2 class. She has the best teachers! She still has coach Jodi and now she also gets to work with the girl team head coach, coach McKenna. She loves both of them. After her first week in this class she was talking to me one night and said, "I love my new class!"
Having grass has been such a blessing. It is so much fun to go out in the evenings and jump, play tag, and play on the monkey bars. Aleah and Cade can both make it across going form one bar to the next, one handed.
Brad found a bike on KSL for Cade. It is a motorcycle bike. He can twist the handle to make an engine revving sound. Brad picked it up after Cade was in bed. The next morning at breakfast time Cade remembered about the new bike and ran to the garage door. Then he turned to me and excitedly asked, "Can I try out my new bike Mom?" He absolutely loves his new bike and rides it every chance he gets. He asked me if he could do a bike race. So now I'm trying to find a bike race for kids.
If there is anyone outside, Cade will ride near them and rev his engine. We were on a family bike ride one evening and we got behind a neighbor girl who was riding her bike as well. Cade got right behind her and revved his engine. She looked back with a surprised look on her face and then started peddling faster.
Spending time with cousins is another blessing in our lives. We enjoy the time that we get to spend with Emma, Grant, and Braedan. There's never a shortage of laughs and hugs!
Working in the yard together is wonderful! Brad and I make a good team. We have started making a block wall along the back fence line. Our yard really drops off along the back fence. This will make it so that we can level out our planter. We are also hopeful that it will help to keep the weeds from coming in from the field!
My parents' pool is open for the summer! We are loving it. The kids are quickly remembering their swimming skills. We are so thankful that my parents have a pool. This year we have hired a boy from my parents' neighborhood to teach swimming lessons. Their first lesson is this week.
Cade has really become comfortable under the water this summer! He loves getting the rings and has even been getting them from the last step.
Aleah is still the first one in and the last one out! She loves it.
Family home evening is a little thing that we love and look forward to. Aleah and Cade really take it seriously when it is their job to do the lesson. It is cute to see the lessons that they come up with.
Cade did a lesson about choosing the right. He set up an object lesson that he came up with on his own. He got two pieces of train track and a train guy. He left a space between the tracks and put the guy on the second track. He told us that when we get to the end of the track we have to choose the right and then we will get to the track that makes it so that we can get to Jesus. I love that he came up with it and taught us a lesson about choosing the right.
Aleah set up a little hill with her blanket, put a horse and some food by it. She asked Brad to eat some of the food and kneel by the hill and pretend to pray. Then she gave us a lesson about Enos. I love to see their testimonies growing.
He had to cut a hole in our wall for the new door bell and then put it in.
He wired it all together and put on the cover plates.
After all of that he was able to easily switch to the new door bell!
It is an awesome door bell! It rings in the house and to my iPhone. I can see who is at the door and talk to them. I can also turn off the house door bell, that would have been nice when my kids were babies.
It is World Cup Soccer time! It is fun to watch soccer as a family. This has been the scene at our house lately. We are cheering for USA, of course, and Brazil.
Sometimes it is nice to have a rainy day. It is good for a change of pace. I loved spending time with Aleah and Cade inside while it was raining outside. We had a great time together doing crafts and listening to the rain.
I am so thankful for the little ways that my Heavenly Father blesses me every day! I feel of His love for me and I feel important as He blesses me in ways that He knows will mean a lot to me.
