I made my first bouquet. My brother got married on October 2nd. My cousin Angie helped me make the bouquet. It was so gorgeous! I loved the combination of the white roses and the burlap roses.
I helped with the setting up and decorating during the day. It was all so beautiful! I wish that I took more pictures.
As we were quickly making a few more burlap roses I reached for the scissors right as my sister Bre went in the other direction with the hot glue gun. The tip of the hot glue gun went right on to my finger. It really hurt! Later that day as I was drying my hands I forgot about my blister. It popped and oozed and hurt even more.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful and wonderful! We are so happy for my brother Nate and his wife Amy!
A few weeks later during family home evening, we were playing, Button, button, who's got the button? As I put my hands in Aleah's hands to pass the button to her my scab popped of. Ouch, it really hurt!
Aleah and Cade participated in the primary program at church. Aleah's part was, "I can show gratitude by being kind to others. I'm thankful for my house and everything on the earth." Cade's part was, "My favorite creation is the elephant." They held hands as they walked up front and both did very well saying their parts. That week they got cupcakes from the sweet young women in our ward.
The kids loved the huge pumpkins by Grandpa and Grandma's office.
Brad and I finally found some time to plant our last three trees!
General conference weekend is always a fun weekend. Aleah and Cade looked forward to making their conference crowns while we watch conference.
After I took the first picture Aleah said, "Now a silly one!" I love these kids!
Cade has realized his love for climbing trees.
Aleah made cookies for some of her friends in her kindergarten class. It was her idea and she had so much fun taking them around. Her class had to do a service project and her new friend James made cookies for her. It was so cute! I love seeing her grow socially.
Cade does a special super power stance to help him run fast on vault. I love it. He does it every time. Even the older boys in other classes love watching him vault.
Aleah's teacher is so great. She sends us pictures of the fun things that Aleah does at school. I miss Aleah when she is at school, but it is fun to see her happy and loving it. I have been helping out in her class three or four times a month. It is so much fun! Aleah likes it when I'm there. She asked me if I could come more, I wish that I could.
Aleah's school does a pumpkin walk. Each student decorates a pumpkin according to a theme.
My sister, Grandma Bushman and I took all the kids to the pumpkin walk and had a fun evening there.
As I was working in the garden one day I found a little frog. I don't know were it came from, but it was cute.
Aleah and Cade had fun looking at it. They thought that it was stuck in the garden box and so Cade picked it up and helped it out of the box. I think that it just lived in our garden for a while. Brad saw it once as well. When we cleaned out the garden we looked for it, but never saw it again.
Family date night at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point was a hit! I love spending time with Brad, Aleah and Cade. They are the best!
Brad and I put bark in our planters. It was a million times easier than the top soil! We are hopeful that we will have less weeds in the spring time.
We had so many tomatoes from our garden this year! I made a bunch of marinara and froze it. I have loved having tomatoes. It was nice to have tomatoes whenever I wanted them. I'm going to miss that.
Thanksgiving Point had an OZ theme at Farm Country. We went with some of our friends from our old neighborhood. The kids loved riding the ponies of different colors.
I hate it when my kids get sick! Poor little Cade was so sick for about a week. His tummy just hurt him constantly. It was terrible! Nights were the worst. Brad and I would rub his tummy, rock him, rub his back, and try to do anything that we could to help him go to sleep. It was so hard because we didn't know how to help him and he was in so much pain.
I think that he got a little relief from the pain when he would finally fall asleep. It was a rough one!
Aleah came up with the idea to make ghost brownies and she told me exactly how she wanted to design them. As we were making them she asked me to take a video of her. She did a tutorial video like her Aunt Amy does and then told me that I had to send it to Amy. I can watch that video over and over, it makes me smile!

Making Halloween t-shirts is so much fun.
Brad and I decided to make our own custom Christmas lights. Brad is an amazing handyman! It was a fun project to do together. Well, actually, Brad did most of the work. The kids and I screwed in the bulbs and helped were we could. Brad did all the hanging and splicing and stuff like that.
Cade loves to help Brad! He was helping from start to finish. Aleah and Cade got the pattern of the bulbs down quickly and put in most of them. They are good helpers!
Our ladder didn't reach the tallest part and I was afraid that Brad was going to fall. Thankfully, our neighbor is an electrician and he told us that we could borrow his ladder. We didn't get enough bulbs so we were not able to finish putting up all the lights the first day that we worked on it. We were thankful to have the option of the taller ladder when we were ready to finish the project.
