Easter is Our Favorite!

I have to throw in these pictures of Aleah and Cade at the Museum of Curiosity.  These two kids are so much fun!

On April 1st, April Fool's Day, we did some fun little tricks.  Aleah wore her shirt backwards to school.  She is so funny, I love that she was so excited to wear her shirt backwards!  I made jello and put it in our fancy glasses again this year.  Aleah totally remembered from last year!  She asked, "Is it jello?"  Cade carefully tried to drink his, it was so funny!  As he tipped it up and nothing happened he started laughing and figured out that it was jello.  I loved it!  We all laughed and had a fun time with that.

Brad had to go to mutual after dinner so we quickly came up with a trick for him to do on the priests. He was taking ice cream for a treat after their meeting.  Luckily, we had some mint chocolate chip ice cream that was almost all gone.  We finished it off, cleaned the container and filled it with broccoli! Aleah and Cade were so excited for Brad to get home and tell us how the trick went!

Brad offered the ice cream to the priests and they said, "Oh yes, I love mint chocolate chip!"  One of the priests opened it up and found the broccoli.  The best part was that they ended up eating all of the broccoli!  It was awesome!

Aleah and Cade love Easter!  All year long they ask me when it is going to be Easter.  They tell me all the time that Easter is their favorite.  Aleah had an Easter party at school this year.  She had fun but ate too much candy.  She ended up throwing up when she got home from school.  Poor girl, but she learned that she can't eat that much candy all at once.  And thankfully, she felt better after she threw up!

My Grandma Bushman got Guillain-Barre which makes it so that her brain can't talk to the rest of her body.  She was improving and so she was able to leave the hospital and stay with my parents for a while.  For her therapy she was helping my Mom get the backyard ready for the Eater egg hunt.  Since it was Conference weekend, Aleah, Cade and I spent Saturday evening with my Mom and Grandma Bushman while Brad was at the priesthood meeting.

We had dinner together and then we colored eggs.  We had so much fun!  My cousin Brent's kids got to come over with my Aunt Marie which made it even more fun.  Aleah and Cade loved coloring eggs and playing with Oaklee and Trevan.

Aleah and Cade made Easter decorations.  They made and decorated paper eggs and bunnies.  They taped them on the walls.  Some of them said, "Hide one here"  I love my cute kids!

As our favorite holiday arrived, we were all excited for the hunt!  I have decided that Easter and General Conference should be together every year.  We loved spending the morning together and enjoyed listening to conference.  It was a perfect day to think about our Savior and to celebrate His resurrection!

We had a wonderful afternoon at my parents' house.  Spending time with family is always the best part of holidays!

My parents always do such a fun Easter egg hunt!

Can they be any cuter?  It was so much fun watching them enjoy their favorite holiday!
