Tornados, Date Nights, and Puppies, Oh My!

We have been loving having library books!  While waiting for me to finish making dinner one night, the kids got out the library books.  Aleah read to Grant and Braedan and Cade read to himself.  It was cute.  I love watching the cute things that these kids do!

We had pre school at our house last week and we learned about tornados.  We watched a video and then made our own tornados in a jar.  It was a lot of fun!

We even made tornado finger paint pictures.

For our pre school field trip this week we got to go to Cabela's.  We always have fun at Cabela's.

Friday night was a Daddy/Son and Mommy/Daughter date night.  Brad got two tickets to the BYU basketball game from his friend at work.  We decided that it was too late to find a baby-sitter and so Cade got to go to his first basketball game.  He absolutely loved it!

Cade had a great time cheering and dancing.

They got a cougar tail for their treat and ate it really fast.

Aleah and I went out for some "frozen ice cream".

Then we did a craft together.  We made her a charm bracelet.  She had to put the baking crystals in the little charms.  She was very creative in her designs.

Then we stuck them in the oven it bake.

The instructions said that it would take about 15-20 minutes.  Ha Ha!  We looked at them at 15 minutes and they hadn't even started melting yet.  So we set the timer for 10 more minutes and got her jammies on her.  Checked them again and nothing!  We set the timer for another 10 minutes and brushed her teeth.  Checked them again and they were melting a little.  We set the time for 10 minutes again and read some books.  By this time she was so tired and wanted to go to sleep, but she also wanted to see them when they were done.  We went down to check them and they were finally done!

It turned out to be a cute charm bracelet.  We sure had a fun date together.

Cade fell asleep on the way home from the game.  When they got home we got Cade in his jammies and put him in bed.  He woke up a little asked if he needed to brush his teeth.  I told him that he could just go back to sleep and not worry about it.  He said, "I don't want to get cavities!"  So into the bathroom we went to brush his teeth.  I think that he fell back to sleep the second I put him in his bed!

My sister's dog had 9 puppies last week so we went up to see them on Sunday evening.  They are so cute.  Aleah and Cade loved holding them.  I loved holding them and wanted to take one home with me!
