Up to the cabin we went for the 4th of July. We love it there! On the way there Aleah and Cade talked about which toys they were going to play with first. As soon as we got there Aleah and Cade got out the train and Rocket, their favorites.
The next morning we enjoyed breakfast with our family. Cousins are great!
Then we were off to the parade. Aleah and Cade were ready with their bags to collect candy.
Up next were the races. We look forward to the races every year. Aleah and Cade were waiting anxiously for their race to start.
Ready, set, go!
They got to race a few times and could have kept racing more.
Aleah did a three legged race with Brad. It was cute!
Brad and I raced and he totally won. I need a rematch! I'm going to start training for next year, haha. Watch out Brad, it won't be so easy next time.
Aunt Dawn brought a craft for the kids to do. She is awesome! Aleah and Cade loved doing a craft with her.
The thing that Aleah was looking forward to the most was helping Grandma decorate the cake.
She was so excited when it was time to decorate the cake.
She did such a great job!
A crazy storm came through with rain, and sleet. It was awesome!
After the storm Brad, Cade, and Cade's cousin Charlie went out for a bike ride.
They rode their bikes down to the resort and did some rock climbing. Cade loved climbing. He is so strong that the just climbed right up it two times!
Aleah and I went down to pick them up and we decided to do the bungie trampoline. It was so much fun! It ended up being one of our favorite things that we did.
After our dinner we drove down to watch the fireworks.
They moved the place were they shot off the fireworks so they ended up being RIGHT above our heads. It was fun! It reminded me of when I was little because my brother and I would go with our cousins to the Pleasant Grove fireworks show and we would always find a spot where the fireworks would be right over our heads.
Aleah was snuggling with her Grandpa, who she lovingly calls Grandpappy, during the fireworks. It was so loud, but that didn't faze her. She was out a few minutes after the fireworks started.
Cade fell asleep right after the fireworks ended. When we got back to the cabin they slept through Brad and I taking them in, taking off their shoes, everything. In the morning they were so confused as to how they got in their bed and how their clothes changed. It was cute!
The rest of the weekend was just as fun and relaxing as ever. We had such a great time and really enjoyed spending time with our wonderful family.
