New Year's Eve, Party, Party!

Our New Year's Eve party was a blast!  My parents, my brother Nate and his kids, Emma, Grant, and Braedan, and my Grandma Stone (Grandma Great) all came over for the party.  We started off with a wonderful steak dinner.  Of course there was also some dessert!

We did a count down with the kids and shot off poppers.

Then the kids got their wish lanterns ready and we headed outside to light them.

Cade picked green and Grant picked yellow.

Braedan picked red.

Aleah picked purple.

Emma picked blue.

We loved watching the lanterns until we couldn't see them any more.

If you look closely, you can see all five lanterns.  It was fun to have the colored ones, you could see the color the entire time!

Cade is saying, "Ooooh, wow!"

We put all the kids to bed, watched a movie, and then rang in the New Year with some wish lanterns of our own.  Wish lanterns are so much fun.  As you release the lantern, it puts a smile on your face!
We will definitely be getting wish lanterns again next year!  What a fun night it was to be with family, to celebrate all the wonderful things that happened in the last year and to make goals and plans for the new year.  I love all of my family so much!  I am thankful for all of them.  I feel lucky to have such amazing people as part of my family.
